YWAM RTO Staff Member Wins Donut Contest

When YWAM RTO staff member Jonathan Spainhour showed up to a morning tea with a handful of fliers advertising a donut flavour and naming contest, his fellow staff went wild. Everything from a Peanut Butter and Jelly donut to a Compassionfruit donut was submitted and conversations surrounding the yummy lumps of lard and sugar abounded over the coming weeks as the results were anticipated.

Finally, the day of the announcement of winners came and lo and behold, Mr Spainhour himself was listed right on the website as a top 12 finalist for his Creme Brule flavoured piece of goodness. While Jonathan didn’t receive the award for top donut, he did receive $500 cash, a welcome prize for any YWAMer considering that all staff are full time volunteers. Jonathan, who leads the Bible Core Course here at YWAM Reef to Outback said that the money came at a great time!

    Discipleship Bible School

    During the course, you will have an opportunity to dig deep into the Bible, reading through all 66 books, gaining an overall perspective of God’s story. You will learn techniques for effective Bible study, and your speakers will help unlock the Bible’s fascinating content.

    You will also be taught on topics. For example – you will look at Worldview and Origins as you study through Genesis, Exodus, and Job.
