Impact Summer

Impact Summer is a camp all about faith, adventure, connection, and service—centered around outreach at Stable at Cluden.
Imagine stepping into a real life 'Town of Bethlehem', brought to life by actors, live music, artists, and delicious food stalls, as the community walks through the story of Jesus. Campers don’t just watch the story unfold—they help run it alongside the combined churches of Townsville!

Overview

Throughout the camp, participants will:
- Grow deeper in their faith through guided input times
- Challenge themselves on our High Ropes adventure course or other team building activities
- Form meaningful friendships with fellow campers
- Help run Stable at Cluden - a real life 'Town of Bethlehem'.

The camp includes:
- Accommodation (dormitory‐style)
- All meals (starting with lunch on the 18 Dec).
- Transport to and from the Stable at Cluedon event
- High Ropes experience
- An exclusive Impact Summer T-shirt

Outreach

What is YWAM’s experience with sending teams on field activities?

In the 27 years that YWAM Townsville has operated, it has earned considerable recognition in North Queensland and Papua New Guinea. YWAM Townsville sends dozens of land-based teams up to PNG and throughout Australia each year.

How many participants can be involved in Impact Summer?

There is no limit on how many participants we can have, so get your firends together for an epic summer!

Do the participants have to be Christian?

No, Impact Summer is available to anyone who wants to give a helping hand and develop personally. Often we have non-Christians participate in our youth programs, and they still find the time meaningful and impacting.

What is the age range for participants?

Anyone in years 7 - 12 during the 2023 accademic year. 

What is your child protection policy?

Every YWAM volunteer and staff member must hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Police Check) and have undergone a child protection policy briefing. Every adult that participates in the program is requested to have a police check prior to arrival and must adhere to YWAM’s Working with Minors protocol. Our full child protection policy can be made available upon request.

What is the role of Impact Summer staff?

Impact Summer is led by at least one experienced YWAM staff member that has had exposure to leading training and outreaches in multiple situations.
