Frequently asked questions
Where does the money go?
Your financial gift will have real and significant impact in the lives of Papua New Guinean communities and health workers. The items in the gift shop represent real items and services that YWAM MS provides in Papua New Guinea.
Funds used to purchase gifts are pooled into categories that relate to the item purchased, in order to help best meet the needs experienced in that category. Categories include maternal and child health, eye health, oral health, health system support and community health.
While we do our best to make sure your donation goes to the category you specify, if the contributions to one category are in excess of the operational needs of that category, we will use it in another category to ensure that your donation is used to provide the greatest impact it can.
Are my gifts tax deductible?
Yes! Donations of $2 and over given through our gift shop are tax deductible in Australia. For more information on tax deductible giving, please visit the Australian Tax Office website.
