The Ship Discipleship Training School is in the middle of its 6th week here in Townsville and this week they are hearing from the National Director of YWAM Australia, Steve Aherne on how to walk on wisdom in relationships, with God, with friends and with family.
In one week they will be picking up their bags and boarding a plane to Papua New Guinea to start the next phase of the school. On arrival in Port Moresby they will divide into two teams, one team will board the MV Pacific Link and serve with the YWAM Medical Ship helping in clinics on board the ship and in a number of villages in the Gulf Provence. The second team will be staying in a village in the Central Provence for a few weeks connecting with the community, serving alongside the churches and running discipleship programs.
It has been a great adventure so far on the school, with many different speakers sharing with the group and the team are eager to take the next step and sharing with the people of Papua New Guinea the things they have learnt already!
