With the sunglasses on that she’d received from the YWAM Medical Ship last year, Nema happily stood and again greeted the volunteers who arrived in Wowobo village. They soon found out that not only had Nema received sunnies last year, but cataract surgery in her right eye as well. This year, she hoped to get the cataract removed from her left eye! With the optometry team in her village, she took advantage of the services available and had her eyesight checked. Clinic leader, Debbie Bollinger commented, “Her sight in her right eye is perfect.” With her referral in hand for cataract surgery, Nema left happy and hopeful!
When the Ship sails to Kikori soon, the ophthalmology clinic will be up and running. They plan to see Nema to give her the full vision she’s been eagerly waiting for!
