After a great week of lectures with David Stephenson on board the Pacific Link in Port Moresby, the Ship Discipleship Training School were able to take a day off the ship and visit the Kokoda trail, about an hour and a half drive from where the ship is docked, and take a walk along the start of the trail. Not for the faint hearted, it was quite the walk down to a creek at the bottom of the first descent of the track, but definitely worth the effort to experience walking this historic trail. The team enjoyed taking time away from the ship and a good time was had by all!
This coming week the school is back in the lecture room for one more week on board, and preparing for a week-long outreach focusing on Port Moresby, the Capitol of PNG, where the whole school will be involved in helping with medical clinics around the city as well as going into schools and bringing health education to the youth of the city.
