On Friday of last week, 48 students walked up to the platform in YWAM Townsville’s auditorium to receive their certificates, marking the end of an amazing six months. 34 of those students completed their Discipleship Training School, while eight completed an Introduction to Primary Health Care school and six completed the School of Music in Missions.
Though they were three different schools, all teams were able to travel to the nation of Papua New Guinea for part, if not all of their outreach. Some went to prepare the way for the medical ship, others went to share music and still others went to deliver free health care. On graduation day, many shared stories with the staff on the YWAM centre and talked of changed lives.
Joanne Blaik, the training coordinator for all three schools, congratulated the students on a job well done. “It’s been another quarter with great outcomes and people’s lives affected,” she said. Thanks to Joanne and many others on Base, these schools were able to happen successfully. Without the whole centre, students would not eat, sleep, travel and serve as well as they do.
Thanks to everyone for an amazing October quarter and check out this link to watch the webcast of the graduation day!
