The team has spent the past two days in Port Moresby staying at the Foursquare church centre in the city. They have jumped in with both feet, yesterday they had the opportunity to share testimonies with patients waiting for a medical clinic. After which half the team stayed to assist in the clinic, much to the delight of the nurses in the group! While the other half of the team went to the school ran at the centre and helped out in classes. In the afternoon they helped with a children’s feeding program, where children from around the city come to the centre for a few hours to play games and eat a meal. There were around 250 children there and the team was able to assist with food preparation, serving the food and playing with the children who came.
Today has been another full day. The team spent time this morning practicing their dramas and this evening they had the opportunity to present their first outdoor program where they presented a few dramas, shared stories and taught some of the things they have learnt during lectures.
The team are all well and loving their time in Papua New Guinea so far.
