Townsville Youth getting an inside look into PNG thanks to the Townsville Bulletin

For the next number of weeks, we as YWAM Medical Ships will be featured in NIE to teach kids about PNG and life up there. To bring greater awareness of the needs and the way young people can get involved. Check out the first of many below!!
“NIE is an acronym for Newspapers in Education, a Townsville Bulletin program in which school textbooks and teaching materials are supplemented by our newspaper. NIE utilises newspapers in the classroom to help children from preschool to Year 12 understand our changing world and reinforce basic skills. Education is what we do at the Townsville Bulletin – we’ve been providing information to the North Queensland community for more than years.
A newspaper in the classroom connects young people with their community, their nation and the world. This year approximately 200,00 copies of the Townsville Bulletin will be supplied to North Queensland schools.”
