The IPHC (Introduction to Primary Health Care) team came back recently, from visiting over 30 villages during their time in PNG. They have a wealth of stories to share with us. Over the next little while, we will feature some of their experiences with you. Here’s one about Morabane:
The IPHC set up a clinic at a small village: Wariobodoro. Rebecca, from the team, met an elderly patient named Morabane, who was 73 years old. He was paralyzed on his right side and completely blind in both eyes. Although they were unable to provide healthcare for his condition, Rebecca was able to speak life and worth and be a source of strength for Morabane on that day.
Sometimes it’s about providing health care, sometimes all you need to help, is a heart…and you make someone’s day better. The stories that will follow from the IPHC are of individual lives impacted, because of willing hearts. For every story that gets told, there are others left untold and other lives changed. You are apart of the told, and untold stories.
