You never know who’s life is going to be changed through one act of kindness or generosity. Without our amazing medical teams being generous with their time and money, Pastor Dudley probably would not have had these life-changing experiences to talk about. The Pastor from the Gulf Province of PNG had his sight restored after 18yrs of problems seeing. It’s evident by the level of gratitude expressed in the letter, that one visit to a city called Kerema in PNG, means more than words could express for the Pastor. What an amazing priviledge to be part of. So rarely do we understand the impact our actions have in other people’s lives, and what the flow-on effect will be. Below is an excerpt of the letter we received at the YWAM Centre in Townsville recently.
“…my family and I want to thank special people named for their love that they gave to us.
Firstly Dr Anne for making Julieanne as her baby by giving her coloured pencils and carrying her around and washing with her in the ocean.
Secondly, to Dentist John, for taking out Julieanne’s Daddy’s teeth and also encouraging him to say “Brave people live, but fearful people die”. Thanks a lot for your advice.
Thirdly, to Dr Keith, an ophthalmologist who did a perfect surgery on my eye. It has been 18yrs struggle in my life, but praise God 100%. I can see more clearly and [have] strong vision. “
