Airplanes, twigs, and postcards!

For months, these 14 individuals have been preparing to come to Townsville, Australia for a life-changing adventure. Now that they have finally arrived, they are jumping in with everything they’ve got! This quarter we are running two DTS’ with two very impacting focuses. One school will be focusing on the Pacific Islands and Indigenous peoples, while the other is focusing on youth culture and the issues we are confronted with daily.

As for the students participating, they are quite unique as well. Out of our 14 students, 11 have flown in from another country representing 9 different nations in total!

 In our first couple days of lectures we took a closer look at the topic of ‘Hearing God’s voice’ and we used a postcard as a tool to practice. The week ended amazing as we did an activity with twigs and put a ‘twig in the campfire’ symbolizing our commitment to each other for the next 6 months!
