G’day from Australia,
We wanted to update you on our response regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
Please know that all of us are taking this season seriously as we go above and beyond to ensure the safety of everyone who comes onto our campus. We are asking all the questions and listening intently to answers.
We are closely monitoring the situation and receive regular reports from the World Health Organisation and a number of other key governmental bodies. To date there are no confirmed cases in Townsville, however we have been taking necessary precautions within our community, especially related to hygiene and well being.
With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are taking further steps to ensure all our facilities and personnel remain safe. We want you to know we are very committed to:
- Taking the precautionary measures to keep all our facilities clean and safe for all teams, visitors, participants, and campus residents
- Following the guidelines and recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Queensland Health, the Australian Government’s Smart Traveller Advice, and the Papua New Guinea National Department of Health.
- Timely and relevant communication with all our teams, visitors, participants, and campus residents about important changes and updates related to COVID-19 about providing clean, sanitary, and safe environments.
In light of changing travel restrictions, we encourage potential participants to be aware of the latest updates from the Australian Smart Traveller website and their country of origin. We are monitoring these changes as well.
We invite you to join us in prayer for the healing of those affected, wisdom for global leaders, and supernatural peace for those experiencing fear.
If you have any questions please feel free to email registrar@ywamships.org.
Sincerely,
Ken Mulligan
