Australia and Papua New Guinea: Are key geographical focuses for community
development, with a heart that extends beyond these borders to other nations.

YWAM: A YWAMer is someone who has completed their training and joyfully embraces
YWAM’s purpose, beliefs, values, and legacy.

John 10:10: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a
rich and satisfying life.” Written around A.D. 85, this Bible verse encourages us to live life to
the full, even in the midst of challenges.

Flower and Butterfly: The frangipani tree, able to withstand intense heat, reminds us of the
importance of perseverance. The Ulysses butterfly represents transformation and beauty.
Together, they encourage us to pause, smell the flowers, and notice the wonder of life. As
Hans Christian Andersen said, “Just living is not enough,” said the butterfly. “One must have
sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”
