Join YWAM Staff
Our volunteer staff team is a diverse mix of different nationalities, ages, skills, giftings, and backgrounds. Their dedication and passion makes what we do possible, and we are always looking to expand our team!
Our staff team include accountants, cooks, administrators, mariners, outreach leaders, medical personnel, trainers, radio announcers, housekeepers, program developers, communications officers, youth workers, and so many more!
The prerequisite to join staff is the completion of a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS).

Most staff will have the opportunity to engage in a range of roles and projects, including a mix of outreach opportunities and mission support roles. You will also have the option of participating in flexible vocational training that is designed to add to your knowledge and skills while on the job.
How joining staff works
The first step is to enrol in our Purpose and Leadership Development. This is a two-year, hands on program that trains you in the core aspects of being a full-time volunteer with YWAM anywhere in the world. During the Purpose and Leadership Development you will work as a full-time volunteer staff member. You will also receive two hours of weekly input time that is designed to enhance both your practical skills and soft skills as you engage in ministry.
