Sunday the 10th of October 2010 was the first day of the October Discipleship Training School (DTS).
The DTS consists of 18 girls and 17 boys, staff and student’s being from 10 different nations; Ireland, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, the States, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and Australia. At orientation we had an amazing time having a laugh together, eating kangaroo kebab’s and then having a bit of worship. The first day of lectures we got to hear some input from the school leader (Nathaniel Baldock) and more of his story, got to know each other a bit better and also hear from each other on what brought us to the school. Thursday and Friday of the first week we had Joanne Blaik speak on Hearing God’s voice and Identity.
“Hearing God’s voice is something I have often had a hard time with because I can never decipher if it is mine or his. Joanne started off with telling us before anything we needed to realize who we’re in Christ. He is our King, making us children of God. We mean that much to him! Therefore..he cares, he loves us and he is going to speak to us.” – Brittany Spelman, USA, 21.
